Information about the E.P.S.C.A. Under 11 South East Tournament - 19th March 2005

The Under 11 South East Zonal will be held on Saturday 19 March 2005 at Kemnal
Technology College, Sevenoaks Way, Sidcup, Kent DA14 5AA. The Tournament Controller/Chief
Steward is Peter Bayliss, Guildables Farm Cottage, Guildables Lane, Crockham

It will be a three round jamboree with 50 minutes each on the clock. Details
are in the 'Notes for Team Managers', 'Rules and Regulations of the EPSCA Team
Championships ', 'EPSCA Quickplay Rules' and 'EPSCA Associations and their Catchment
Areas 2004-5 South East Zone' enclosed. The reserves will play in a Reserve
Tournament.
Each team must provide a Board Steward and a Room Steward, one of whom may be the Team Manager. On arrival, the Team Manager should hand a Team Sheet to the Tournament Controller, who will then ask him/her to draw a code letter to allocate the team its place in the jamboree.
The timetable is as follows:
Arrival - by 11.00am
Board Stewards' Meeting - 11.15am
First Round - 11.45am
Second Round - 1.45pm
Third Round - 3.45pm
Prize Giving - 5.35pm
Hot snacks (bacon rolls, hot dogs and potato wedges) and light refreshments
will be on sale and there will be a chess bookshop.

How to get there
By train and bus: from Charing Cross, take a train to Sidcup. Trains are scheduled
to leave Charing Cross at 02 and 32 minutes past the hour with a journey time
of 31 minutes. A 51 bus is scheduled to leave Sidcup Station every 10 min-utes
to Kemnal Manor with a journey time of 9 minutes. The bus stop is opposite the
main entrance to the College.
By road: Sidcup is situated on the A20, 4 miles west of Junction 3 of the
M25. Leave the M25 at Junction 3, taking the A20 westbound exit signposted to
London (SE) and Lewisham. Continue on the A20 for about 4 miles before taking
the A224 slip road signposted to Orpington. Reaching the roundabout at the end
of the slip road, take the first exit (Sevenoaks Way). Cars should continue
for about ¼ mile, passing through the traffic lights, and take the first
turning on the right (Midfield Way) and then proceed for a further ¼
mile before taking the second turning on the right (The Avenue). The rear entrance
to the College is about 300 yards along on the right and, once inside, there
is plenty of parking on both sides. On joining Sevenoaks Way, coaches should
turn right, before the traffic lights, into the main entrance and drop off at
the gates. There is no parking for coaches inside the College.
